Attorney Recknor has been authorized to send a firm letter to Education Committee Chair Ardyce Bohlke in regard to producing the so-far-hidden Augenblick Study regarding LB806, et al. It is believed that this study is sharply critical of the new LB806 formula, and thus may have been suppressed or hidden away... We are told that Attorney Recknor is very confident regarding getting this document or material... which may prove very useful in both the interim studies of school finance, and/or as evidentiary material in the case of a lawsuit to overturn LB806. (The latest heard whispered under the rotunda is that the actual Augenblick Report---prepared at state expense we understand---may be so very bad that copies of it might literally have been returned back to the sender by officials who do not want to have it in their possession...apparently so as to keep it buried? If that is true, shouldn't it prove interesting indeed as Attorney Recknor 'puts on the heat'??
